Amorack
Amorack is a fantasy war game where thousands of kingdoms and hundreds of country's fight for the domination of the world or merely survival. Amorack is played through a html interface, and does not require any kind of download or installation of any kind of software. Every participant in Amorack controls his own Kingdom, researches new technology and trains vast armies to attack other kingdoms with. Resources that are needed to fund this is mined from goldmines and harvested from forests within and around your kingdom, so each mine or forest you steal from your enemy will allow you to increase your army even more, likewise losing these mines and forests will make it harder to refill your ranks. Beware of having too many mines and forests and too few units, the night is long and dark, and even your own brother can turn against you in the war of the Races in Amorack. Luckily, you are not alone in your country, as many as eight people, belong in each country.
As with all other games, the more you put into it, the more rewarding it is to play it. Make new friends on IRC or spend time on the forums. Be wary of spies and treacherous individuals, not everyone shares your moral code.
About once per hour the clock of Amorack strikes, the 'ticks'. New resources are gained, work on buildings or army progress, wars are fought, new units are trained. This might sound like pretty standard stuff, but remember, the twist is that Amorack plays even though you're not logged on. A real time strategy game. Battles are fought, Mines are stolen. Many times a ruler has woken up to realize that his nine-hour nap also included 2,000 units attacking his kingdom and stealing a substantial amount of his mines or forests. If you're lucky you'll see it in time to organize your defence.
Amorack is played in rounds, which last for about two months, and has several hundred ticks, after eac...
