Myst Online: Uru Live

Uru Live™is the next chapter of the Myst franchise and the most immersive and ambitious Myst experience ever created. The game is bigger, better, and more innovative than any of the previous Myst adventures. Players can move at their own pace, spending hours discovering visually stunning real-time 3D worlds, solving a large variety of mind-challenging puzzles, enjoying the company of other explorers, and following an epic storyline. The story of the D'ni civilization began when they established their underground empire on Earth some 10,000 years ago. While living beneath the Earth's surface, the D'ni practiced what they called the "Art of Writing," which enabled them to create links to incredible, alternate worlds of fantastic variety called "Ages," to which they could travel through "Linking Books." The D'ni people thrived for thousands of years, but later met with a great catastrophe that all but ended their civilization. Their vast cavern was left uninhabited, and their Linking Books and Ages seemed lost forever. In recent years humans from the surface have discovered that cavern. A group was formed that came to be known as the DRC (D'ni Restoration Council). As their name implies, they took on the task of physically restoring the ruins of the D'ni cavern.Rumors abound of the destruction of the cavern of D'ni. Underground, the vast empire of D'ni limps back to life, even while evil brews in its darkness. Destruction is coming… Find a way… Make a home…

As an Uru Live Explorer you get access to many features. Some include -

• Explore: Explore a growing selection of ever-changing worlds on your own or with your friends. Discover believable persistent online environments that change when you interact with them.
• Events: Discover the various in-game events assembled by the Uru Live developers. Be a part of the many in-game and out-of-game events set up by individuals in the community.
• Games and Puzzles: Be a part of the story and solve intriguing story puzzles by yourself or with friends. Play multiple mini-games while you wait for friends to log-on.
• Customization: Create a personalized avatar that you can customize. Receive your own personal island place where you can relax and call home; you can also personalize your home to fit your mood. Receive customizations from the Uru Live developers by completing different tasks or being apart of in-game events and groups.
• Chat Use text chat to interact with friends and "neighbors" Use Voice chat to personalize your avatar even further.
• Community Be a part of an active international community of explorers. Make new friends and discover the similarities and differences of people you interact with. Join or create your own neighborhoods where you and others can converse, play games, and have fun.

Myst Online: Uru Live Returns As Free-To-Play agrif writes Shorah bshemtee! Uru Live has been released for free, as a first step towards opening its source. This game, an MMO released by the makers of Myst and Riven in 2003, has been canceled, zombified, resurrected, canceled again, and is now about to be released as open source to its dedicated fan base.
