Game description
Maximus XV Abraham Strong - Space Mercenary created by Rebelmind is a sci-fi RPG/action title presented in astounding real-time 3D graphics. The story puts you on a massive space ship, the Maximus XV, full of convicted prisoners, that's got trapped inside a cosmic anomaly known as a Black Nebula. Playing the role of a tough unjustly imprisoned marine, Abraham Strong, you will be involved in a titanic struggle to reach an emergency transport module, hacking and slashing your way through hordes of alien creatures that have invaded your ship. You are the ship's only chance of survival!

Abraham Strong -- An ex-officer of the Space Marines, convicted to a life sentence on the Misty Planet for insubordination. Strong, proud and maybe a little too hot-tempered. Became famous after a daring capture of a pirate ship in a port of Mars. He walked on board armed with nothing but a machete. Killed 30 pirates and rescued 150 hostages!

SCI-FI -- Forget knights and wizards - Maximus XV will introduce you to a world of high technology. Dark and moody locations, biospheres with artificial ecosystems, futuristic weapons, androids, space ships and nebulas. Everything soaked in an atmospheric industrial ambient music.

ACTION -- Maximus XV is not for the faint-hearted. Constant streams of ugly monsters guarantee non-stop hacking, slashing and shooting. Fights are exciting, weapons are lethal and special effects are extra-cool! FEATURES

The gameplay is the essence of the action-RPG genre - a whole lot of fighting with various types of weapon while the hero develops his skills, manages his equipment and trades items. At the same time an intriguing plot will unravel.
Everything takes place in real-time, the user interface is clear - the whole game can be handled by just using the mouse, but for your convenience most functions are also accessible through keyboard shortcuts. FIGHTING
Fighting is based on the strong RPG principles - but there is no need to know the details to be able to play - the Player sees the hero shooting or striking using some kind of weapon and whether he hits or not. By using the Characteristics and Equipment Windows it is quite easy to see how the RPG elements influence the outcome. DEVELOPMENT
During the fight, Abraham's experience levels will increase and he will gain development points, which can be used by you to increase his abilities (strength, dexterity, knowledge, endurance).
- Strength - helps Abraham during hand-to-hand fighting
- Dexterity - helps Abraham with ranged weapons
- Knowledge - enables Abraham use the Hi-Tech Items
- Endurance - helps Abraham survive USING THE ITEMS
Abraham can use many different items during the game. As well as a whole variety of weapons there are all sorts of things including protective armour, biochips that increase his skills, first-aid kits and other hi-tech items. HI-TECH ITEMS
The game world contains advanced technology such as teleports, holographs, shields and energy guns. However, in order to take advantage of these items, Abraham has to possess the Knowledge to use them. ENERGY MANAGEMENT, TRADE
An essential resource is the amount of energy Abraham has to power his advanced technology. The energy is also used as currency on the ship when purchasing/selling items. Energy is obtained by collecting energy cells from around the ship and from dead aliens. It's your choice whether you decide to save the cells to purchase improved equipment or to use it for powering your guns or energy shields.

MISSIONS
As the story unfolds Abraham is set new missions which will help unravel how Maximus XV got into such a deadly situation. STORYLINE
Monstrous overpopulation of Earth has forced its government to undertake drastic measures - mass migration to distant planets. Since there was no chance of getting people to volunteer to migrate to distant colonies (life out there was too primitive compared to Earth), a new, restrictive law was established to force people off the planet. You could get a life sentence outside of the solar system even for speeding!

Prisoners were transported in special ships that usually consisted of one small steering unit and a dozen or more huge biospheres. The biospheres were like whole autonomous planets, each one had its own land, atmosphere and even artificial sun. "Earth in a box!" This enabled the biospheres to be dropped on virtually any planet and provide an initial home for the settlers until they managed to bring the new environment under their control.

Maximus XV was one of these transport ships. Prisoners, locked inside biospheres, had no idea of where they were going to end up. They were given a few basic tools that could be of use when colonising a new land. No one suspected that they'd be better off with weapons...

The ship was on course and was supposed to have an uneventful flight. The pilots did not expect to come across the most dangerous of space predators a Black Nebula - this gravitational anomaly sucks in everything that gets near. The Maximus XV was soon trapped.

Humans were not the only race trapped by the anomaly. Craft loaded with many unknown species had been trapped there for years but they had learned how to survive - by feeding on newcomers! They quickly invaded Maximus XV, savagely taking over each biosphere. People, shocked, rarely put up any resistance and the invaders were merciless.

The last biosphere was different. With makeshift weapons prisoners managed to fight off the attack, but they were still under siege, surrounded by countless enemies. The only way to get out of this alive is to get to the emergency capsule and use its powerful engines to break free from the Black Nebula. Unfortunately the only path to the capsule is through all of the biospheres, now colonised by alien creatures. Only one person can do that. The best of the best - Abraham Strong.
