Opera Slinger is a free, rock-opera singing game designed and created by a
team of ten students at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy in
Orlando, FL. The game uses pitch detection to combine the singing fun of karaoke
with elements of classic action platforming.
Take on the role of Forte, Opera Slinger extraordinaire, as you defend your
fame and music against the nefarious schemes of Aria, the Opera Queen. Aria
makes her grand entrance just before showtime - blasting Forte's
once-magnificent opera hall to pieces! Now, you must deliver a stellar
performance in order to stop her from winning over your fans.
Opera Slinger was the 2007 Student Showcase winner at the Independent Games
Festival, receiving praise for its unique approach to video Games and high
production value.
